My Story
It was a Wednesday in January for me. The year was 1979. I was on the 17th day of my New Year commitment to read through the Bible. God spoke to my heart from His Word that morning in a direct and specific answer to prayer – a prayer I had brought before the Lord many times over many months. My marriage, health, and family were good, and my ministry experienced God’s blessing. But I needed a spiritual reset.
Oswald Chambers’ My Utmost for His Highest “golden book” of selected devotions was among a handful of old books given to me by a ministry friend. I chose to use this beloved old red hardback edition, published in 1935. Each day, I read his comments after reading God’s Word, making notes, and even journaling my prayers and God’s answers. My soul rebooted that Wednesday in January 1979. It would not be the last time the Lord reset my spiritual compass. And the Lord has also used several select devotional books as tools for such a purpose.

…blessed is the devotional writer who, both by rich personal spiritual experience and intense, prolonged study of the scripture, is able to take us into both the depth and the width of the unsearchable riches of God’s precious Word. Just such a man wrote this book. Dr. Edsel Bone is uniquely equipped to do just that. He combines the shepherd heart of a godly veteran pastor with the gifted mind of a lifelong student of the Word of God.

There are only two options : conform or transform
We can conform to the world or transform by the renewing of our minds.
This is our daily choice.
Resetting your spiritual compass from time to time is essential, And an occasional rebooting of your soul must be followed by renewal.
Renewing your mind is a process critical to spiritual growth.
We're told that rebooting computerized devices solves connection issues, corrects glitches and installs updates.
That may not be the language of the Jesus follower–
but it is precisely what we Christians need.
When you Renew Your Mind, you replace old thinking with new thinking.
With Volume 2 in hand–allow the Spirit of God to renew your mind
